The speaker feels sad when he cannot travel both roads at once, that show his regret. His caution when choosing a road tells us to be careful when we were making an important decision in our life since we can’t go back in our life. Many people know Frost through his poems since as a famous American poet, he had received four Pulitzer Prizes for Poetry, among other awards. “The Road Not Taken” is published in 1916, and it is the first poem in the collection, Mountain Interval. Robert Lee Frost establishes his ethos by becoming a famous American poet, who many people recognize.
